There are much better ways to teach basic HTML than DW.  Trust me.  I used to do it back in the day.

The error here is thinking that DW is a useful tool for a journalist.  It isn't.  Unless you consider a page designer a journalist.</description>

					<description>A skill that is probably quite valuable for most journalists is basic html.  Dreamweaver can be a useful tool for teaching that, however I doubt that student journalists are taught to use DW's code view frequently.</description>
