I made it round 1 for Knight News Challenge, which includes writing mobile applications posting via XML-RPC calls to drupal. Put in a good word for me so I make it to round 3. ;-)

It’s great to see that the Knight Foundation is supporting the event and will be joining us in Boston! Drupal can use the support and we’re looking forward to hearing news of the grant winners.

Whoa! This is *great* news.
Congrats to everyone who helped make this happen.

I wonder if they had a enough applications to their news challenge mentioning Drupal.

One of the reasons why this is so great is because Foundations love to fund small “projects” but not as much investment into infrastructure. And Drupal can be a key infrastructure component to community-based journalism.

Kudos! And looking forward to the announcement.

Happy New Year Ken! Great it is that the Knight Foundation is impressed with Drupal’s power. We’re all very excited to see what projects they’ll be supporting next.

If I don’t get to catchup with you in the next couple weeks, I’ll look for you at the meetup and session in Boston.
